Ian Tan
Ian founded the firm in 1996 and is currently its Managing Director and Chief Enabling Officer.
Ian is delighted to be in a professional position where he is able to live out his passion of developing people to their fullest potential. His personal mission and favourite mantra is ’to Impart, to Impact and to Inspire’.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Ian not only seizes opportunities for acquiring new knowledge and skills, but encourages a culture of learning within the company. He is also constantly on the lookout for fresh ideas and up-to-date tools which can help the firm meet the changing needs of its clients.
As a Master Accreditor of the DISC Insights Personality System and PeopleKeys System, and Master Behavioural Consultant (The Institute of Motivational Living Inc., USA), Ian has accredited over 300 Certified Behavioural Consultants from Australia, Brunei, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. This expanding regional network of diverse consultants has and continues to empower individuals, teams and organizations in the Asia Pacific region with their newly acquired skills and tools.
Ian is also an accredited facilitator for leadership workshops using the two powerful leadership tools, the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) of the Leadership Challenge model and the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) of the Full Range Leadership Model. These two models are probably the most in-depth and extensively validated leadership model in the world today. Ian is also trained in The Art and Science of Coaching, a Solution-Focused coach training programme that is accredited by the International Coach Federation.
Ian holds a degree in Social Science & Applied Psychology and a Master of Guidance & Counselling, which gives him the extensive knowledge base required to develop people-centric structures, programmes and tools for training and development, which are both pedagogically sound and effective in practice.
Melvin Chia
Melvin is a trainer and consultant at Lifeskills Enrichment, and currently oversees the programming for the LifeskillsClassroom division.
Though his primary academic training was in the area of Information Technology, Melvin’s enduring passion is to make a positive impact on people and organisations. Whether at work or on the personal front, Melvin endeavours to enable and empower people, helping them actualise their innate potential.
Melvin is a Certified Behavioural Consultant with The Institute of Motivational Living Inc., USA and specializes in the DISC Insights Personality System. Melvin is also an accredited facilitator for leadership workshops which incorporate the popular Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), an internationally recognized and a popular 360-degree leadership assessment tool. Additionally, Melvin has been accredited to administer the Leadership Practices Inventory (a 360-degree leadership assessment instrument) and facilitate The Leadership Challenge (an evidence-based leadership development programme, developed from the original and proven research of best-selling authors Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner).
As a trainer, Melvin's versatility and people skills enables him to relate well with people from across a wide range of age groups and who has diverse interests and backgrounds. Melvin firmly believes in engaging the people he trains, and strives therefore to create learning experiences that are both interactive and creative. Melvin also applies his acute observational skills to understand his trainees in order to meet their differing learning and developmental needs. This young man is a dynamic and cerebral individual with multifarious talents, yet carries with him a humble disposition and an amiable personality.
Having grown up benefitting from the nurturance and guidance of leaders around him, Melvin strives to provide the same mentoring and coaching to younger people. Off work, Melvin volunteers as a captain of a unit of The Boys' Brigade, providing much needed mentorship and leadership to teenage boys.
Elijah Lim
Elijah is a trainer and consultant at Lifeskills Enrichment, and currently oversees the programmes and services offered in the LifeskillsCorporate division.
Elijah aspires to empower people and organisations, enabling them to move from merely surviving to thriving and flourishing. Elijah’s specialist areas are in soft skills training, organisational development and business planning. Insightful, well-read and generous with his ideas, friends often call him the ’walking encyclopaedia’.
Elijah's experience with varied organizations and understanding of the business landscape, led him to conclude that no human capital or organizational development programme can be truly successful without a focus on character and ethics. It is his firm belief that ethical leadership is critical for sustained organizational growth and profitability. It is for this reason that Elijah relishes his professional role in developing robust and effective leadership for organizations and the greater community.

Prior to joining the firm, Elijah worked in organizations as diverse as the Singapore Armed forces (SAF) and Walton International, a leading Canadian-based real estate investment company. In the SAF, Elijah last served as Chief Instructor of a training school, designing, conducting and managing a full range of training activities for hundreds of men. This honed his skills and expanded his knowledge base in training and human capital development. Elijah was also actively involved in formulating and validating army doctrine, and well acquainted with planning and executing the operational plans of large formations. Over his more than 20 years of work experience, Elijah expanded his capabilities in establishing strategic plans and integrating them into organizational operations.
Stephen Choon
Stephen is a trainer and consultant at Lifeskills Enrichment, and currently oversees the programmes and services offered in the LifeskillsCommunity division.
Stephen sees himself as a people helper and desires to make a positive difference in the lives of all around him - family, friends and clients. He believes that to have an enduring influence on people, one needs to value integrity and strive to ’walk the talk’. This is why he holds himself to a high standard so that he can inspire the change he hopes to see in those he trains and leads.
Having a pleasant and warm disposition, coupled with his good listening skills, Stephen is able to build strong rapport with people and be an effective mediator. Stephen finds it fulfilling to help people improve interpersonal communications and forge enriching relationships, whether at home, at the workplace or in the greater community.
As a Certified Behavioural and Career Consultant (The Institute of Motivational Living Inc., USA), Stephen applies his knowledge and skills with dedication and finesse to catalyse change and enhance personal growth in clients.
Stephen's entrepreneurial experience in the process of starting up and operating a Food and Beverage business gives him immense and practical insights as he works with organizational clients. Stephen is able to understand the intricate workings of a business and the essential elements of management.
A keen amateur photographer in his free time, Stephen's shutterbug temperament is evident in the meticulous and hands-on manner in which he prepares for and delivers his training activities. Confident and versatile as he is, Stephen believes that in preparing for training, nothing should be left to chance and that no stone should be left unturned.
Pat Valentine
Pat is an associate trainer at Lifeskills Enrichment and specializes in programmes related to improving communication and teamwork, career planning, employee recruitment, conflict resolution as well as personal, family and marriage counselling.
For more than 30 years, Pat has been a firm believer of and keen advocate for personal branding. As such he has been a well sought after speaker on this subject. He continues to be passionate in enabling people to achieve a credible and valued personal brand.
Pat's illustrious professional life has seen him move from management positions in two Fortune 500 companies to specialist roles in communications, broadcasting and entertainment. Pat was a pioneer in NTUC Radio Heart (now Radio 91.3 FM) and also worked with radio personalities like Gold 90 FM's Brian Richmond, the late Roger Kool, Lush 99.5 FM's Chris Ho, Class 95 FM's "The Flying Dutchman" in Rediffusion Singapore, Joe Monkey of ZOO FM and Dr Stevens of COAST 100. As a Master of Ceremonies and a facilitator in business conferences, his timbre rich voice led him to be dubbed, "The Voice".
In 1999, Pat became a fully accredited facilitator with one of the largest human resource consultancies in the U.S. which had affiliated companies in over 32 countries.
As a brand strategist, Pat imparts his skills and strategies to Independent Professionals as well as Sales and Marketing Personnel in the area of Personality Branding and Effective Communications. He firmly believes that every individual is a Brand, requiring differentiation in order to stand out from the crowded and competitive market place.
Apart from contributing articles to websites, e-newsletters and life-enrichment publications in the areas of Personal Development and Personal Branding/Marketing, Patrick is the author of "What's Your Brand?" - crafting your personal brand positioning statement to capture your niche market.

Gabriel Teo
Gabriel is an associate trainer at Lifeskills Enrichment and has expertise in leadership development, individualised coaching, temperament analysis, personality profiling, relationship and pre-marital counselling, emotional management, psychodynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal communication skills, coaching skills, personal and group effectiveness skills and drug rehabilitation programmes.
Gabriel is a dynamic, entertaining and inspirational Chinese speaker and training consultant with an established reputation in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, USA and China. Effectively bilingual, Gabriel leads workshops and seminars in Mandarin which are specifically designed to challenge the individual, maximize participation and encourage a healthy exchange of ideas, thus providing an enriching learning experience for all participants.
Gabriel is passionate about learning and self-development which is testified by his long list of certifications and accreditations.
