Sun, Earth & Moon
Astrology come alive
This Astronomical Science series using multi-sensory and hands-on learning will not only be fun and exciting, but make learning astronomy educational and alive to the students. We have designed a special enrichment programme for students to master the facts about the Sun, the Solar & Lunar Eclipses, the Moon, Moon Phrases, Temperature, Gravity and the Earth's Atmosphere, to make astronomy comes alive to the marvel of the students.
Students will be able to:
- Understand the wonders of astronomical events and their impact in everyday living
- Conduct scientific investigations relating to the Sun, Moon and Earth
- Appreciate the concepts of cycles, revolving and rotating
- Apply the process of scientific investigation involving observation, information gathering, analysing and forming
conclusions
- Appreciate the productive synergy of good teamwork
At the end of the program, your students will make a presentation on one of the topics learnt. This will help to further reinforce the concepts they have learnt.
Approach
This Astronomical Science series would guide students through many different activities that will increase their science vocabulary. They would be introduced to the astronomical world using experiments such as making ice-cream to illustrate science concept of coldness on Moon. They would be engaging familiar objects using their multi-sensory learning in a fun and creative way, in addition to role-play, games, throughout the four (4) sessions of 2-hours each. We would conduct Pre - and Post Workshop Assessment & Collation.
